Job summary

Virtua Health is seeking a Financial Analyst in Marlton to prepare monthly and annual financial statements and perform related analyses. You will support GAAP compliance and assist the Finance Management Team on special projects, acting as a Finance representative on committees as needed.

You will collaborate with teams, ensuring accurate reporting of operating metrics, budgets, and regulatory filings, while developing best practices for financial analysis.

Qualifications

• Zero to three years in general accounting and financial statement prep.
• Knowledge of GAAP and ability to prepare financial statements.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word; strong organizational skills.

Assists in implementing Generally Accepted Accounting Principles on all financial statements. Supports the Senior Financial Analysts and Finance Management Team in preparing for special projects. Acts as a Finance representative on committees and at meetings as necessary. **Position Responsibilities:** • Assists with preparing the Hospital and or related entity of Virtua Health Financial Statements with GAAP compliance. Including Service Group Analysis and Cash Flow Analysis, which are reviewed by Senior Management and Virtua Health Board of Trustees. • Prepares and assists in the analysis of financial data. I.E. Operating budget detail, statistics, revenue by payer, expense, cash analysis, balance sheets and provides support to Operational Leadership. • Assists in preparing and analyzing financial data for Regulatory Agencies including Federal and State. I.E. IRS 990 tax exempt return, NJ Charitable Registration, Medicare, Medicaid, and State Cost Reports, Bond Compliance, AHA Surveys, etc. • Assists in ensuring audit compliance through preparation of work papers and analysis for internal and external auditors. • Provides financial analysis assistance to Managers in order for them to adequately monitor operating expenses, budgeting, balance sheet, capital expenditures and/or cost/benefit or other analysis of existing or proposed services with Decision Support System Tools. • Collaborates with staff to create best practice standards for financial analysis and documentation. **Position Qualifications Required / Experience Required:** Zero to three years in general accounting experience to include financial statement preparation. Must possess knowledge and understanding of accounting practice and theory, specifically Generally Accepted Accounting Principles. Ability to work independently to achieve goals and prioritize work assignments. Strong organizational and communication skills.
