Job summary

CRST The Transportation Solution, Inc. in Cedar Rapids, IA seeks a Financial Analyst to support accurate reporting, analysis, and forecasting for the Dedicated division. You will partner with your leader and business unit to explain variances and inform planning.

You will reconcile data, prepare reports, and deliver insights to leaders, helping drive operations and financial decisions. The role requires 3–5 years of finance experience, Excel, SQL, and Power BI, with a bachelor’s degree.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years in finance/analytical role.
• Working knowledge of financial statements, accrual accounting, and variance analysis.
• Ability to analyze financial data, identify trends, and explain results clearly.
• Proficiency in Excel, financial reporting tools, SQL & Power BI.

Responsibilities

• Financial Data Integrity: Reconcile, understand, and confirm financial data to ensure accuracy and integrity of company financial information and support the monthly close process
• Variance Analysis: Analyze monthly sales, cost, and profit variances versus forecast and plan and explain key drivers to leadership
• Support: Provide financial and analytical support to leaders, translating data into clear and actionable insights
• Planning Support: Assist in the preparation of annual plans and updated forecasts as required
• Reporting: Prepare weekly, monthly, and ad hoc financial reports to support operational and financial decision-making
• Business Understanding: Build knowledge of business operations, financial drivers, and performance metrics within the assigned business unit
• Presentation and Communication: Present financial findings primarily to the direct leader, supporting broader leadership discussions as needed
• Accountability and Reliability: Maintain regular and reliable attendance while performing other duties as assigned to support team and business needs
