Position Overview: Federal Financial Analyst - Entry Level (DHS)

We seek a candidate with professional, interpersonal, and analytical skills to support our clients in addressing complex challenges. The ideal candidate enjoys working creatively within a team to transform business processes, improve operational efficiency, strengthen internal controls, and help achieve strategic goals. This role supports the Department Homeland Security (DHS) Federal Protective Service (FPS), which safeguards government facilities and personnel.

Responsibilities

• Provide budget support services across the entire federal budget process, from formulation and spend plan creation to contract closeout and fiscal year execution.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Teams, Word, Excel, PowerPoint), with the ability to work independently and produce high-quality work.
• At least 1 year of professional experience in project management and program analysis, including presenting information and facilitating discussions at all organizational levels.
• At least 2 years of experience working in teams, demonstrating interpersonal, critical thinking, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Interest in federal financial execution, accounting cycles, and reconciliations, with the ability to conduct background research and articulate findings clearly.
• Ability to obtain a public trust security clearance.
• Interest in federal business systems related to accounting, accountability, and financial reporting.
