TxDOT’s Financial Management Division in Austin seeks a Financial Analyst II to perform advanced financial analysis, cash-flow forecasting, and regulatory work at the Stassney Campus.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and 3 years of financial analysis experience, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of state appropriations. This is a full-time, on-site position with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree required; substitutions allowed per policy.
• 3 years of financial analysis experience required.
• Experience with state budgeting or government funding preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepare cash-flow forecasts and updates, incorporating revenue trends, expenditures, and program requirements.
• Analyze financial data to identify variances, trends, and impacts to TxDOT cash position.
• Reconcile financial data from multiple systems to ensure forecasting inputs are accurate.
• Produce recurring and ad-hoc financial reports, dashboards, and summaries for leadership and stakeholders.
• Coordinate with districts, divisions, and financial units to gather data and validate assumptions.
• Apply knowledge of state appropriations and transportation funding in analysis and reporting.
• Identify opportunities to improve forecasting methodologies and data management.
• Ensure work products are audit-ready with clear documentation.
