Job summary

TxDOT's Financial Management Division in Austin is seeking a Leadership & Business Operations Intern at the Stassney campus. You will support leadership with scheduling, briefs, reports, and executive communications while gaining exposure to strategic initiatives and government operations.

Applicants must be enrolled in an educational program, at least 16 years old, with strong communication and organizational skills; discretion with confidential information is essential.

Qualifications

• Must be a student or accepted into a college/university.
• Must be at least 16 years old and enrolled in an educational program.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
• Familiarity with dashboards or data analysis is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative, operational, and project support to leadership and initiatives.
• Coordinate meetings, events, and leadership forums with agendas and notes.
• Develop and maintain professional communications, presentations, and reports.
• Draft, edit, and manage correspondence for diverse audiences.
• Create and maintain SOPs, training materials, and guides.
• Research emerging technologies and tools to improve operations.
• Analyze processes and metrics to identify efficiency opportunities.
• Develop dashboards and visualizations to support leadership decisions.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
