Job summary

POOLCORP in Covington, LA seeks a Financial Analyst to join the FP&A group, evaluating large data sets and providing insights into performance and trends. The role will routinely create ad-hoc analyses and prepare materials for Senior Management and across field and corporate support teams.

The ideal candidate has a bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, CS or Data Analytics, advanced Excel and data querying, and experience with Power BI and IBM Planning Analytics.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, CS or Data Analytics required.
• Advanced Excel, data querying and reporting tools essential.
• Experience with Power BI and IBM Planning Analytics preferred.

Responsibilities

• Prepares financial reports by collecting, formatting, and analyzing data to forecast sales, gross margin, and expenses.
• Builds financial databases by identifying sources, assembling, verifying, and backing up data.
• Monitors KPIs, performs root cause analysis, and evaluates process improvement opportunities.
• Provides ad-hoc financial analysis to support executive decision making.
• Prepares reports for monthly close and Board meetings.
• Collaborates with field and corporate teams to deliver value-added financial reports.
• Translates large datasets into actionable insights with attention to data accuracy.
