The Pivot Group is seeking a Financial Analyst for opportunities with manufacturers in and around Flint, MI. This role focuses on cost analysis, budgeting support, and reporting for plant leadership, with a clear path to contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Applicants should have manufacturing experience, strong Excel skills, and familiarity with ERP systems like SAP or Oracle. The position offers on-site work in the Flint area and opportunities to work with multiple manufacturing

Formación

Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or related field.
Two+ years of financial analysis experience in manufacturing.
Strong Excel skills with pivot tables and lookup functions.
Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.

Responsabilidades

Support the annual budget and quarterly forecast process.
Analyze capital project requests and track spending against budgets.
Reconcile inventory balances and review cycle count results.
Prepare journal entries and support month end close activities.
Develop dashboards and reports to track manufacturing metrics.
Prepare monthly financial reports and variance analysis for plant leadership.
Build and maintain cost models for products and production lines.

Job Description:

Financial Analyst | Flint, MI

Salary Range: $66,000 - $99,000 depending on experience

This posting covers Financial Analyst opportunities with manufacturers based in and around Flint in Genesee County, within about 30 minutes of the city, including Corunna, Swartz Creek, Clio, and Flushing.

The Opportunity

Usual Responsibilities

Track standard costs and investigate cost variances.

Recommended Qualifications

Strong Excel skills including pivot tables and lookup functions.
Experience with standard costing and variance analysis.
Working knowledge of ERP systems such as SAP or Oracle.
Ability to communicate financial results to non financial plant staff.
Bachelor degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
Two or more years of financial analysis experience in a manufacturing setting.

Bonus Qualifications

CPA or CMA certification.
Experience with Power BI or similar reporting tools.
Exposure to lean manufacturing or continuous improvement programs.
Advanced skills in SQL or data modeling.
Experience supporting multiple plant sites.
