Job summary

University of Houston System seeks a Financial Analyst to perform financial analysis activities under general supervision. You will analyze return, depreciation, investment ratios, profit and loss statements, and trends in sales and finance.

Responsibilities include preparing monthly and annual financial statements, ad hoc reports, and reconciling accounting activities. Education-based experience may be substituted for formal education where appropriate; a 4-year degree is preferred.

Qualifications

• Requires a 4-year degree or equivalent training; department accepts education in lieu of experience.
• Minimum of three (3) years of directly job-related experience.
• Analytical and technical understanding across finance domains.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financial statements.
• Analyze financial accounting data and document trends.
• Prepare ad hoc reports and analyses of reports.
• Monitor and reconcile FRS accounting activities; prepare entries and analyses.
• Assist with maintenance of financial reporting systems and provide technical support.
• Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
