University of Houston seeks a Financial Analyst in Houston to support the financial analysis and reporting for Houston Public Media. You will prepare monthly and annual financial statements, analyze trends in finance and other areas, and produce ad hoc reports to support decision-making.

Description:
Under general supervision, performs financial analysisactivities. Analyzes return, depreciation, and investment rations;profit and loss income statements; and trends in sales, finance,and other areas of business.
1. Prepare and analyze monthly and annual financialstatements.
2. Analyze financial accounting data and documents trends.
3. Prepare ad hoc reports and analysis of reports.
4. Monitor and reconcile FRS accounting activities; prepareentries, modifications and analysis.
5. Assist with maintenance of financial reporting systems andprovide technical support.
6. Performs other job-related duties as assigned.

MQ: Requires a thorough understanding of both theoretical andpractical aspects of an analytical, technical or professionaldiscipline; or the basic knowledge of more than one professionaldiscipline.
