Financial Analyst Consultant (broadcast media industry)

Financial Analyst Consultant (broadcast media industry)

Quire is looking for a focused Junior or Senior Financial Analyst to support one of our projects. We are looking for an Analyst with at least 3 years of experience (5 years preferred) modeling revenue and costs for media business lines. You should have direct experience working in the TMT group at a top investment bank or direct experience as a Financial Analyst working inside a digital or traditional media company in one, or all, of these spaces. We are looking for clear knowledge of the listed sectors and real experience creating models from the ground up. Valuation experience is a bonus. You must present your work in a highly professional format.

This is an eight (8) week project.

This position is remote, and no travel is required.

This position is a part-time consultative project based opportunity.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the project team by providing research and financial analysis related to digital news publishing
• You will be building a complex financial model, including detailed assumptions, the ability to run numerous scenarios, and valuation analysis
• Meet quick-turnaround deadlines and manage in a fast-paced environment.
• Hands-on financial analysis experience is required as well as building detailed models related to key drivers and business lines
• Strong analytical, modeling, and forecasting skills
• Work effectively with an interdisciplinary team within a corporate, service-oriented, structured environment with a sense of urgency, pivoting and multi-tasking as needed to meet quick-turnaround deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong communication skills, and proactively sharing and seeking information.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent experience
• 3+ years of experience in financial modeling for broadcast media companies.
• Hands-on experience within media companies or a strong understanding of the industry.
• Experience building financial models from the ground up, and ability to fill in the missing pieces of model to figure out full cost structure to intersect revenue and gross profit of the business.
• Strong financial modeling skills, particularly for media/entertainment businesses, specifically in broadcast media.
• Experience with valuation techniques and forecasting
• Knowledge of key media metrics (CPM, viewership analytics, ad revenue models)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Experience in broadcast media is a plus
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in Accounting, Economics, Finance or equivalent experience
• Advanced knowledge of Excel and high proficiency in Word and PowerPoint is required, proficiency in Financial Analysis AI tools is a bonus
• Excellent communication and presentation skills to convey complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Exceptional cognitive thinking, and logical reasoning skills
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and collaboratively

Compensation:

• This position is paid hourly as a 1099 contractor.
• This position is remote, with potential travel requirements.
• Compensation for this role is based on experience and ranges from $40 - $75 per hour . which is the annual salary equivalent of $83,200 - $156,000 per year . We will pay a premium for candidates with extensive experience in finance or private equity.
• This opportunity is a contract consultative position. Flexible work schedule and ability to work some nights and weekends may be needed.
• Candidates must be available during normal business hours, with flexibility for distributed timezones.

Quire offers above-market compensation to individuals who maintain the highest standards, possess consummate professional expertise, with all compensation marked-to-market using third-party salary and contractor platforms; those who exceed average experience or efficiency can expect a material premium to market rates.
