Job summary

Russell Tobin is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support a leading financial services client. You will maintain cost basis records for Wealth Management accounts, assist with Gain/Loss reporting, and resolve inquiries related to 1099-B and cost basis questions.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or Accounting, strong analytical and communication skills, and proficiency with Excel.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting or related field.
• Experience in financial services, banking, operations, or analytical roles preferred.
• Understanding of general accounting principles and financial industry processes.
• Experience working with Microsoft Office applications, including Excel and Access.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with teams.
• Strong attention to detail with a commitment to accuracy and quality.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a deadline-driven environment.

In this role, you’ll support Gain & Loss operations by maintaining cost basis records, providing reporting support, resolving account inquiries, and ensuring accurate documentation for customer accounts. You’ll work with internal teams to research discrepancies, complete account maintenance activities, and provide solutions related to cost basis reporting and regulatory requirements.
