Job summary

Harris Computer Systems seeks a Financial Analyst to support the Healthcare division, reporting to the Business Unit Controller. The role is based in Ottawa, Canada headquarters or remote.

You will manage month-end and quarter-end close processes, prepare journal entries, assist with forecasting, intercompany transactions, audit support, and ad hoc reporting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting is required.
• CPA or CPA student considered an asset.
• 2+ years of relevant experience required.

Responsibilities

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes by working with the Finance team to meet reporting deadlines.
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts.
• Assist with forecasting of net revenues and operating expenses.
• Coordinate with the Finance group to ensure intercompany transactions are recorded accurately.
• Provide support to the divisional EVP and VP’s as needed.
• Prepare information requests and respond to questions during quarterly reviews and the annual audit.
• Engage in special projects & ad hoc reporting as required.

Harris Computer Systems is seeking a Financial Analyst to work closely with the Business Unit Controller in providing financial support and analysis for the division. The successful applicant will be working in the Healthcare group along with a team of highly motivated individuals who are engaged in continuous improvement. This position will be based in our Ottawa, Ontario Canada headquarters or remotely.

WHAT YOU WILL DO

• Manage month-end and quarter-end close processes by working with the Finance team to meet reporting deadlines;
• Prepare monthly journal entries and account reconciliations for various accounts;
• Assist with forecasting of net revenues and operating expenses;

• Providing support to the divisional EVP and VP’s as needed;
• Preparing information requests and responding to questions during quarterly reviews and the annual audit; and
• Special projects & ad hoc reporting as required.

WHAT ARE WE LOOKING FOR

• Bachelor’s degree with specialization in accounting
• CPA or CPA student considered an asset
• 2+ years of relevant experience

COMPENSATION DETAILS

The potential salary range for this role is $48,000 to $55,000 per year, with eligibility for bonus or merit program. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, market conditions, and internal equity.
