Atlas Tech is seeking a detail-oriented Financial Analyst to support the Program Team on a high-impact DoD contract. You’ll work with financial analysts, project managers, and government stakeholders to ensure cost tracking and program success.

Role involves cost estimation, data analysis, and regular reporting, with travel up to 10%. Positions available at Charleston, SC or Alexandria, VA with hybrid arrangements. Eligible for DoD clearance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of equivalent experience accepted
• 5+ years of professional experience in financial analysis or related fields
• DoD Secret Level Security Clearance eligibility preferred
• Experience with cost estimation and reporting required

Responsibilities

Atlas Tech, a veteran-owned IT company serving multiple DoD customers, is looking for a detail-oriented, results-driven Financial Analyst to support our Program Team in executing financial management duties for a high-impact contract and project plan. You’ll work closely with financial analysts, project managers, program managers, and government stakeholders to ensure efficient cost tracking and project success.

This position supports the U.S. Coast Guard through our partnership with the U.S. Navy's Naval Information Warfare Center (NIWC). Your contributions will help deliver innovative technical solutions to national security missions. This position is available at two Atlas Tech facilities; Charleston, SC or Alexandria, VA. Both locations are hybrid positions, with the Alexandria, VA location being an onsite mix of the Atlas Tech Alexandria, VA office and the US Coast Guard Headquarters in Washington, DC.

You Will:

• Organize, Analyze, and Track financial data with accurate monitoring, control, and reporting
• Assist Financial Team in executing task requirements, project and/or program objectives, risk, cost, and performance
• Read, understand, and analyze Contract Action Funding documents
• Analyze and record project funding, expenditures, and projection data
• Maintain accurate financial records; prepare charts, graphs, tables, reports, and other analyses as required
• Analyze and prepare estimates of service, material, equipment, travel, and production costs
• Track and Manage direct costs on assigned contracts
• Gather and analyze data for program reviews and other meetings
• Compile, create, edit, track, update, and send various spreadsheets and reports
• Consistently and accurately follows internal processes and procedures
• Interact regularly with internal departments, clients, and other industry representatives

You Have:

• The ability to obtain and maintain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Level Security Clearance
• Experience in cost estimation and reporting
• Experience in collecting and analyzing financial data
• Advanced knowledge of word processing and spreadsheets including Microsoft Word and Excel
• Strong documentation and oral communication skills to clearly communicate with all levels of employees, management, and clients
• Strong analytical skills
• The ability to work independently and the initiative to complete tasking without direction
• Excellent prioritization and coordination skills with the ability to work multiple deadlines under pressure
• Strong work ethic and commitment to quality
• The ability to work with others in a highly collaborative environment

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or related field; master’s degree preferred; and 5 years of professional experience in financial analysis or related fields.
• In lieu of a bachelor’s degree, 8 years of relevant professional experience may be considered as an equivalent qualification

We'd Be Impressed If You Had:

• Prior Financial Analyst, Business Financial Manager, or experience on a government contract
• Experience with US Coast Guard and/or US Navy projects and programs
