Job summary

Project for Pride in Living, Inc. seeks a Financial Analyst to support the organization's financial health. The role covers monthly financial records, grant accounting, financial statements, and variance analysis, partnering with the Senior Director of FP&A to drive budgeting and forecasting.

Ideal candidates have a Bachelor's degree and 2–5 years of finance experience, with strong Excel skills and knowledge of grants management. This is a full-time exempt position with comprehensive benefits.

Position Summary

The Financial Analyst plays a vital role in supporting the organization's financial health and strategic decision-making. This position is responsible for preparing monthly program financial records, managing government and private grant accounting, producing financial statements, analyzing budget-to-actual variances, and reconciling revenue. The Financial Analyst will also partner closely with the Senior Director of Financial Planning & Analysis to support organization-wide budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis activities, helping drive informed decisions and advance the organization's mission.


What You'll Do


  • Supports program accounting closing process

  • Evaluates grant funding expectations and requirements, prepares and submits monthly and quarterly reimbursement requests to funders

  • Provides analytical support regarding budget variances, financial statement accounts, financial performance metrics

  • Leads meetings with program leaders to review departmental financial statements and identify financial risks and opportunities

  • Supports supervisor with key financial planning processes including annual budgeting and quarterly forecasting

  • Provides support to the annual audit process

Education and/or Experience:


  • Bachelor's Degree

  • 2-5 years of finance and/or accounting work experience, with knowledge of grant management preferred

  • Experience working with financial systems

  • Work experience with monthly and/or annual reconciliations

  • Work experience creating and entering journal entries
