To provide financial analysis for a department. Responsible forfinancial activities such as debt administration, issuance andanalysis, budget, contract compliance, financial reports, and otherbusiness management services.
General direction from the assigned supervisor.
May supervise assigned staff.
Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or BusinessAdministration from an accredited University.
Master's Degree in Business.

Two (2) years of experience in finance or accounting withexperience in planning, forecasting and/or financial analysis.Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint,and Outlook is required.
Experience obtained in a state agency and/or higher educationalsetting.
Use of standard office equipment.
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Usualoffice environment. May require some weekend and/or evening work ortravel.
Work is performed primarily in a general office environment and canbe performed remote within close proximity to a UTRGV campus. Ifthe work is performed remote, high-speed internet and a designatedworkspace are required.
Accuracy in all phases of duties performed. Excellent verbal andwritten communication skills. Demonstrated effective interpersonalskills.
