To provide financial analysis for a department. Responsible for financial activities such as debt administration, issuance and analysis, budget, contract compliance, financial reports, and other business management services.
General direction from the assigned supervisor.
May supervise assigned staff.
Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration from an accredited University.
Master’s Degree in Business.
None.
Two (2) years of experience in finance or accounting with experience in planning, forecasting and/or financial analysis. Proficiency in Microsoft applications such as Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook is required.
Experience obtained in a state agency and/or higher educational setting.
Use of standard office equipment.
Needs to be able to successfully perform all required duties. Usual office environment. May require some weekend and/or evening work or travel.
Work is performed primarily in a general office environment and can be performed remote within close proximity to a UTRGV campus. If the work is performed remote, high-speed internet and a designated workspace are required.
