Job summary

Mayvin is seeking an Entry-Level Financial Analyst to support the U.S. Marshals Service’s Financial Services Division at the Austin Processing Center. The analyst will handle financial documents, aid in transactions, and act as a liaison with federal employees, contractors, and divisions across the U.S.

Marshals Service. Candidate should have a Bachelor's degree in business/finance/accounting, at least one year of related experience, and strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables).

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or Accounting.
• 1 year of experience in financial, budgetary, or a related field.
• Strong Excel skills (VLOOKUP, Pivot Tables) and MS Office proficiency.

Responsibilities

• Processes financial documents and transactions from designated Districts using UFMS.
• Reviews accounting practices to ensure compliance with federal laws, regulations, and Office of Management and Budget circulars.
• Identifies corrective actions for improper or illegal expenditures and accounting funds.
• Reviews and analyzes annual financial statements for compliance with laws, regulations, and program policies.
