Job Description

The Financial Consultant analyzes and communicates financial results for key products, markets, and initiatives. They develop compelling storylines to deepen client insights and recommend strategic actions. This role involves formulating financial projections to predict, track performance, and diagnose issues.

Key Responsibilities

1. Own the Claims expense ratio (excluding Catastrophes), analyze variances, forecast, and craft main themes for storytelling.
2. Collaborate with finance teams, especially in Canada and National General, to understand and optimize the Claims expense ratio.
3. Partner with Accounting and Reserving to forecast how GAAP accounting and claims reserves impact future expenses.
4. Contribute to initiatives like customer acquisition cost, lifetime value, and expenses by channel.
5. Provide timely, insightful financial reports to support performance improvements.
6. Use analysis to influence decision-making, identify trends, and support strategy implementation.
7. Prepare and develop storylines for financial updates.
8. Identify key drivers, quantify impacts, and forecast business implications.
9. Engage with leadership to discuss current trends and their business implications.
10. Create and lead effective presentations for small groups.

Education

• 4-year Bachelor's Degree (Preferred)

Experience

• 2+ years of relevant experience (Preferred)

Supervisory Responsibilities

• No supervisory duties.

Education & Experience (in lieu)

• Equivalent education and experience may be considered.

Compensation

Annual salary ranges from $50,700 to $89,062.50, based on experience and qualifications.

The candidate will be required to undergo a background check.
