The State of Georgia, through West Georgia Technical College, is seeking a Financial Aid Coordinator to oversee a range of financial aid operations at the Coweta Campus. This role leads daily processing activities, supports staff, and ensures compliance with federal/state regulations.

The position emphasizes advising students and families on aid programs, developing policies, and maintaining up-to-date procedures to meet program goals. Travel to other campus locations may be required.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field and 3 years of related work experience.
  • Knowledge of federal, state, and institutional financial aid programs and procedures.
  • Experience with Banner System in Financial Aid.
  • Ability to work in a team and fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage daily procedures in financial aid operations and serve as initial contact.
  • Research and interpret eligibility and verification regulations.
  • Process applications and corrections and generate notifications.
  • Supervise policies for the financial aid department.
  • Counsel students and parents regarding financial aid programs.
  • Assist with policy development to meet program goals.
  • Travel to other campus locations as required.
