State of Georgia is seeking a Federal Work Study student to assist in the Financial Aid Office on-campus. The role includes clerical duties, customer service to students and families, and data entry to support financial aid processing.

Under supervision, you will review Banner screens, interact with the public by phone and in person, and complete the FAFSA-related steps and employment applications required for federal aid eligibility.

Qualifications

  • Be enrolled as a student at Columbus Technical College.
  • Completed a FAFSA and be identified as being eligible for federal aid.
  • Complete a Federal Work-Study Employment Application.
  • High school diploma or GED.
  • Financial need and PELL eligible.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Position: Federal Work Study Student – Financial Aid Assistant

Location: Financial Aid Department, on-campus

Nature of Duties
  • Under supervision of the Assistant Director of Financial Aid, performs accounting-related clerical duties that require familiarity with basic financial aid functions.
  • Provides quality external and internal customer service including interaction with students, parents, faculty, and general public.
  • Provides quality external and internal customer service via telephone.

  • Performs routine clerical duties such as answering telephones, data entry, and/or related duties.
Minimum Qualifications
