Job summary

Tidewater Tech is seeking a Financial Aid Officer at our branch campus in Norfolk, VA. You will manage and process financial aid documentation, guide students to available resources, and ensure compliance with federal, state, and institutional regulations.

You will handle FAFSA submissions, ISIRs, MPNs, and counseling, while coordinating with other departments to support student success and timely disbursement of funds. A high school diploma or GED and financial aid experience are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• College coursework in accounting/finance preferred.
• Experience with financial aid applications and regulations.

Responsibilities

• Process financial aid documentation and assist with VA Benefits, Tuition Assistance, and scholarships.
• Monitor FAFSA submissions and ISIRs; verify and update records.
• Disburse funds once eligibility is confirmed and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Collaborate with campus departments to resolve issues and support students.
• Provide clear guidance on aid options to students and families.
