Job summary

Northeastern Illinois University in Chicago seeks a qualified professional to oversee Direct Loan data transmissions and supervise staff handling these processes. The role includes ensuring timely and accurate data flows to ED, NSLDS and lenders, and coordinating monthly reconciliation with in-house files.

The position requires thorough knowledge of FSA software (EdConnect, COD, SAIG, Partner Portal, NSLDS) and duties in administering loan eligibility and program rules, plus training for staff

Qualifications

• Three years of combined college coursework and/or work experience as described.
• Experience in student services or higher education preferred.
• Supervisory experience in higher education preferred.

Responsibilities

• Direct Loan Data Transmission & Staff Supervision: Responsible for the electronic transmission of Direct Loan data and supervising staff involved.
• Federal Aid & Loan Refund Compliance: Ensure compliance with FSA rules and handle refunds to DOE and lenders.
• Financial Aid Systems Support & Reporting: Provide systems support, run Banner reports, and assist with reporting and roll data updates.
