Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution.
• Three years of experience in financial aid programs including federal loans in higher ed.
• Supervisory experience required.
• Knowledge of federal and state financial aid regulations.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, and internet tools.
• Experience with enterprise-wide systems.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Process and certify applications for Federal Direct Student Loans and private educational loans.
• Award Federal Direct and private loans to student accounts after eligibility is met.
• Oversee student entrance and exit loan programs and ensure timely communication for DOE compliance.
• Counsel students and parents regarding dependency, loan availability and FAFSA review.
• Meet with lenders for updates and attend regulatory seminars.
• Organize debt management workshops for students and staff.
• Prepare required reports and answer inquiries from students and lenders.
• Supervise part-time staff and student workers.
• Collaborate with Manager, Financial Aid Programs and Controller's Office on system upgrades and adjustments.
