Southern Crescent Technical College seeks a Federal Work Study Student - Financial Aid Receptionist Worker for the Griffin Financial Aid office. You will assist visitors, staff and callers, delivering messages and information with a courteous, professional demeanor. Must be enrolled in at least 6 credit hours and maintain SAP.

Hourly rate is $12.00; hours are 8:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m. under supervision of Chantil Echols.

Qualifications

• Self-starter with strong interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Highly organized with strong verbal communication.
• Knowledge of proper phone etiquette.
• Knowledge of professional dress standards.
• Familiarity with phone system operation.
• Understanding of college activities and operations.
• Ability to utilize copy and fax machines.

Responsibilities

• Greet visitors and determine their needs, routing to staff.
• Answer, screen, and route calls promptly and courteously.
• Provide timely, accurate information and messages.
• Maintain orderly office; assist with filing and scanning.
• Follow supervisor directions and dependability requirements.
• Support daily administrative tasks in Financial Aid.
