Job Description:

Columbus Technical College is seeking an individual to serve as a full-time Student Affairs Specialist. This individual will be responsible for advising students during early registration, open registration, and drop/add periods; Assist with recruitment and other duties in support of Student Affairs Division. This position is full-time/non-exempt.

Responsibilities:

Assists students, faculty and staff with admissions process Serve as front desk reception Conducts information sessions for prospective students Process admissions applications Keep abreast of college deadlines and important information Answer community inquiries from email and phone calls Advises students during early registration, open registration and drop/add periods Conducts information sessions for prospective students Interprets college transcripts and makes acceptance decisions Answers application processing questions for new students Processes new student applications Assists faculty with student issues with registration, advisement and academics Communicate admissions decisions to applicants Assist other departments with special activities as needed

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Associate degree in a related field *and* Three (3) years of work experience in a related field.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience using BANNER software
  • Work experience in a post-secondary institution in admissions or registrar's office.

Salary is commensurate with education and experience.
