Job summary

The role requires advising students, families, and the community while protecting student data and maintaining integrity.

You will analyze applications, exercise professional judgment, update cost of attendance, and ensure timely awarding.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Two years of experience in financial aid operations is required.
  • Functional experience with an integrated Student Information System; Banner preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive student data in compliance with FERPA and related laws.

Responsibilities

  • Determine financial aid eligibility, awarding, and disbursement in line with applicable regulations.
  • Advise students, families, and community members while maintaining data confidentiality.
  • Manage awarding processes to ensure accuracy and timeliness; resolve overpayments and errors.
  • Communicate decisions through in-person, phone, and electronic channels; maintain records.
  • Prepare data for transmission to federal/state agencies and reporting systems.
