Job summary

Excelon Associates is recruiting for a Financial Aid Advisor II at the Orlando campus to help students obtain maximum eligible financial assistance, ensuring timely service and regulatory compliance. The role collaborates with multiple departments to support institutional development goals and student success.

The candidate will review aid eligibility, manage FAFSA processing, advise students and families, and handle deadlines with discretion and accuracy in a 100% on-site setting.

Qualifications

  • Completed associate degree or higher.
  • Experience in financial aid within a higher education environment.
  • Ability to work with goals, productivity targets, and deadlines.
  • High degree of confidentiality, accuracy, and organization.
  • Excellent technology skills, including MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook) and Campus Nexus, among others
  • Ability to work extended hours, including evenings and weekends, to meet business objectives

Responsibilities

  • Monitor, evaluate, and recommend financial aid for qualified student applicants.
  • Meet with students to analyze eligibility for financial aid, and review and approve student loans.
  • Input FAFSAs daily and print needs analyses for file review, monitoring and adjusting student aid awards as necessary.
  • Resolve student appeals pertaining to financial aid eligibility and awards.
  • Advise current and future students regarding financial aid opportunities and procedures, respond to inquiries from students and parents, and interpret and explain government and other regulatory requirements relative to financial aid
  • Collect and analyze data, prepare financial aid reports and applications for funds, and prepare forms for office and student use
  • Present statewide programs to students and parents, compile and edit student financial aid informational materials, and coordinate financial aid delivery to off-campus students
  • Mail financial aid packets to future students upon receipt of their applications
  • Meet with the Admissions Department regularly to discuss the status of future students

Financial Aid Advisor II - Orlando, FL

Excelon Associates is conducting a search on behalf of a private university client for a Financial Aid Advisor II based at the client's Orlando campus. This role provides students with the maximum amount of financial assistance for which they are eligible, in accordance with applicable regulations, delivering timely service of the highest quality while coordinating with other departments to ensure institutional development goals are met. The client is seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented professional to play a vital role in managing student financial assistance programs.

Location:

Orlando, FL (100% On-Site; work-from-home not available)

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
