HCI in Fort Lauderdale, FL is seeking a Financial Aid Advisor to guide prospective and current students through the federal, state, and private financial aid process. You will assist with applications, verify documents, review ISIR data, and disbursement tasks, reporting to the Director of Financial Aid.

The role requires strong customer service, excellent communication, ability to manage multiple tasks, and knowledge of Campus Nexus/Campus Ivy Core.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of Federal Student Aid programs and guidelines.
• Knowledge of Veteran Benefit program preferred.
• Excellent customer service, communication, organizational and interpersonal skills.
• Team player with strong work ethic; can coordinate multiple tasks to meet deadlines.
• Able to work independently or with others in a team environment.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong time management and ability to work under pressure.
• Capable of multitasking and problem-solving.
• Effective in building relationships with students, staff, faculty and the public.
• Ability to work with a diverse student population.

Responsibilities

• Assist students and parents to apply for Federal Student Aid and private funding.
• Provide information on aid program requirements and application procedures.
• Review financial aid data for completeness and accuracy.
• Review ISIR data and ensure accuracy of award data in Campus Nexus and Campus Ivy Core.
• Complete verification processes when necessary.
• Maintain accurate reporting and files.
• Provide entrance and exit counseling to students.
• Answer questions from students or parents accurately.
• Maintain relationships with Admissions, Registrar, and campus staff.
• Stay current on laws and regulations; ensure compliance.
• Participate in financial aid training and events.
