Job summary

Plante Moran Wealth Management is seeking an intern to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced wealth management environment in Ann Arbor, MI. You’ll work with staff at all levels to support client success, learn investment planning, and contribute to financial analyses and reporting.

You’ll assess client objectives, review plans, and perform quality controls while gaining exposure to tax strategies and securities. The role emphasizes growth, learning, and in-person collaboration.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in finance, mathematics, economics, accounting or related field.
• Strong interest in investments and economics.
• Detail-oriented leader with strong analytical skills.
• Must be able to communicate effectively (written and verbal).

Responsibilities

• Assess clients' assets, liabilities, cash flow, tax status, and financial objectives to develop investment and financial planning solutions.
• Evaluate client financial plans using investment and tax strategies and financial securities.
• Perform recurring quality control on account activity ensuring trades and money movements with custodians have taken place and distributions are provided to clients.
• Prepare reports with charts/graphs to illustrate recommendations and client-specific matters.
