Retire SMART is seeking a motivated Financial Advisor Intern to gain hands-on experience in financial planning, client relationships, and investment strategies. You’ll learn from experienced advisors and participate in discovery meetings, qualification, and follow-up activities that convert leads into clients.

The role emphasizes meticulous documentation, regulatory awareness, and collaborative teamwork in a supportive, growth-focused environment.

Qualifications

• No prior financial services required; eager to learn and develop in a financial advisory role.
• Basic understanding of financial concepts is helpful, and training will be provided.
• Strong analytical skills and the ability to explain financial concepts clearly are important.
• Willingness to learn about industry regulations such as FINRA or SEC.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential for client interactions.

Responsibilities

• Lead management: qualify leads, initiate contact, and build initial reports to turn leads into clients.
• Assist senior advisors in discovery meetings to uncover client goals and needs.
• Follow up effectively to provide data and confidence for moving forward with the firm.
• Maintain regulatory documentation to ensure compliance with standards and policies.
• Serve as a point of contact at firm-hosted events to welcome prospective clients.
