Qualifications

• Exceptional Excel and PowerPoint skills.
• Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software.
• Experience with databases, SQL and advanced modeling.
• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts.
• PowerBi familiarity is a plus.
• CFA or CPA certification is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

TheFinancial Accounting Manager is a key role in the accounting organization. This role is responsible for month end close, analyzing profit and loss accounts, leading and coaching a team, and improving processes across the accounting department.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS/TASKS

• Month end Close responsibilities


• Calculate and post and/or review journals related to:


• Collaborate with Finance to prepare monthly allocations for cross-utilized contracts


• Collaborate with Operations, Finance, IT, Fixed Assets, and Accounts Payable teams to align and control transaction coding


• Analyze Profit & Loss Accounts for missing items and for unusual activity


• Perform monthly reviews of key/volatile expense accounts that lead to timely reclassifications, accruals, and/or Pass-Through Billing


• Complete Ad hoc projects to help enhance Financial Reporting integrity


• Develop and coach off-shore team of 5-6 people


• Develop documented and efficient processes and controls

QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS, & ABILITIES

• 4+ years of financial management/accounting experience


• BS degree in Finance, Accounting or Economics (Masters is a plus)


• Exceptional high technical skills with a required proficiency in excel and PowerPoint


• Hands-on experience with financial and statistical software


• Expertise in MS Excel (creating spreadsheets and using advanced formulas)


• Familiarity with databases, SQL, and advanced modeling


• Ability to present financial data using detailed reports and charts


• Familiarity with PowerBi is a plus


• Relevant certification (e.g. CFA/CPA) is a plus
