Ohio History Connection is seeking a Financial Accountant in Columbus, OH to join the accounting team. You will support month-end and year-end close, prepare financial statements, and maintain schedules for projects and accruals.
This role reports to the Accounting Manager and plays a key role in financial oversight. The ideal candidate holds a Bachelor's degree in accounting with 3–5 years of relevant experience, strong GAAP knowledge, and proficiency in accounting systems and MS 365.

The Financial Accountant works as part of the accounting team to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting. Responsible for month-end and year-end closing processes and financial statement preparation; maintaining various financial schedules for accrual and project management purposes; performing monthly reconciliations on balance sheet accounts. The Financial Accountant serves in a primary supporting role to the Accounting Manager in matters related to the organization's financial reporting and oversight.
Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field PLUS three to five years relevant working experience.
