Responsibilities

• Third Party Administrator (TPA) accounting – direct and reinsurance accounting and reporting for multiple TPAs.
• Treaty/contract review – ensure accounting and regulatory items are correctly implemented with reinsurance treaties.
• Mortgage Investment Accounting – record entries, prepare financial reports, and settle activity.
• Lead cross-functional initiatives and process improvements, including system enhancements and automation.
• Record journal entries and reconcile general ledger accounts.
• Perform financial statement analysis as part of monthly close.
• Prepare schedules for Annual/Quarterly Statements and audits.
• Collaborate with IT, Actuarial, Legal and other departments.

Key Responsibilities

Qualifications

Education and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree required, Accounting or Finance major preferred.


• 2-3 years of insurance accounting experience.


• Strong Microsoft skills – Word, Excel, Access.


• Experience with ERP systems for accounting – PeopleSoft experience a plus.

Salary

The pay range for this role is $53,000 - $80,000. The pay range provided is not a guarantee of compensation. The range reflects potential pay for the job grade for this role at the time of this posting. Compensation will depend on several factors such as specific competencies, relevant education and experience, qualifications, and industry certifications. Compensation ranges are subject to change and may be higher or lower than the range described above.
