Job summary

UNT Health Fort Worth is seeking a Financial Aid Counselor to evaluate and analyze financial information submitted by applicants and determine eligibility for financial assistance in accordance with federal, state, and university guidelines. The role includes coordinating programs such as work study, Pell/SEOG, and state grants, and counseling students on FAFSA and loan options.

Monday–Friday, 8:00am–5:00pm; occasional evenings or weekends for events.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and two (2) years of related experience.
• Knowledge of and ability to apply federal and state financial aid regulations.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and analyze financial information submitted by applicants to determine eligibility for financial assistance and determine type and amount of aid.
• Coordinate and administer programs such as federal work study, Pell/SEOG, and state grants.
• Counsel students on FAFSA, loan options, and award packages; assist with ISIRs and verification.
