Job summary

Truist is seeking a Finance Strategic Initiatives Manager in Charlotte, NC to design and evolve workforce optimization and operating models across Finance. You will partner with Finance, HR, Technology, and Enterprise Functions to create scalable service delivery, improve efficiency, and strengthen controls.

The role calls for deep Finance knowledge (GAAP, FP&A, controllership, treasury support) and the ability to translate strategy into practical operating solutions that boost performance,

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field.
• 10-12 years progressive experience in consulting, PM, process improvement, or related financial services role.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and team-building skills.
• Mastery of computer applications, including Microsoft Office.
• Excellent analytical and strategic thinking to develop innovative solutions.
• Facilitation skills to lead teams in problem solving.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Demonstrate adaptability to changing needs and stakeholder management.
• Excellent interpersonal skills to mentor teammates at all levels.

Responsibilities

• Oversee project portfolios and align initiatives with business goals while mitigating risks.
• Provide thought leadership on strategy and prioritization for finance processes and optimization.
• Lead project teams with day-to-day prioritization and deliverables within initiatives.
• Manage large programs end-to-end, creating deliverables in line with PMO best practices.
• InfluenceFinance leadership on objectives, project priorities, and risk mitigation.
• Coordinate engagements with risk partners for exams and reviews across front-office LOBs.
• Mentor and coach junior teammates to ensure effective execution of activities.
