Job summary

Horizon Five seeks a manager-level practitioner who can be client-facing while staying close to the work. This role suits a senior analyst ready for a manager promotion, or a hands-on manager with SOX, audit, and finance transformation experience.

The right candidate will lead projects across 2-3 clients, build workflows, document processes, improve controls, and help implement sustainable automation and reporting using Alteryx, Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Workato, Excel/Power Query, ERP

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in SOX, internal audit, external audit, internal controls, finance transformation, ERP implementation, or related areas.
• Experience designing or evaluating controls over automated processes including IT application controls and automated workflows.
• Experience with ERP platforms such as SAP S/4HANA, Oracle, NetSuite, Workday, or Microsoft Dynamics.
• Strong written and verbal communication, with client-facing delivery experience.
• CPA, CIA, CISA, or equivalent advisory/industry credentials preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver SOX controls improvement, internal controls, and audit-readiness projects for finance, accounting, and operations clients.
• Assess current-state processes, map risk points, and document future-state workflows to improve accuracy and efficiency.
• Design and document controls over manual and automated processes, including IT-dependent and reporting controls.
• Help clients implement controls around analytics, automation, and reporting tools such as Alteryx, Sigma, Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Workato, Excel/Power Query.
• Evaluate automated processes to determine embedded controls, data validation, reconciliation, and access controls.
• Collaborate with Finance, IT, Internal Audit, and external auditors to translate control requirements into practical solutions.
