Job summary

Sompo is seeking a Senior Finance Business Analyst to drive finance transformation by identifying opportunities to improve processes and technology. You will partner with Finance, IT, and stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that enhance efficiency, controls, and quality.

The role is based out of New York City or Morristown, NJ, and emphasizes collaboration across teams to strengthen Finance’s operating model and support ongoing evolution.

Qualifications

• 3–7 years of experience in business analysis, finance transformation, or process improvement.
• Experience translating business needs into practical solutions and leading initiatives from requirements through implementation.
• Experience partnering with Finance, IT, and cross-functional stakeholders to drive optimization, standardization, automation, and technology-enabled solutions.
• Strong facilitation, communication, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and build consensus across teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead business analysis and process improvement initiatives from requirements gathering through implementation.
• Partner with Finance, IT and cross-functional stakeholders to design end-to-end solutions that improve efficiency, standardization and quality.
• Facilitate process walkthroughs, identify improvement opportunities, drive stakeholder alignment and adoption.
• Promote global process standardization and leading practices while managing necessary deviations.
• Partner with project managers to identify risks and support successful delivery.
• Support technology-enabled process automation, change impact assessments, training, and adoption.
• Collaborate with Change Management and other delivery teams to ensure clear communication and successful implementation.
