Job summary

Clearsulting LLC is seeking a Consulting Director to lead complex finance transformation engagements from strategy through execution. You will provide senior oversight, build trusted senior stakeholder relationships, and drive revenue growth while mentoring managers and teams.

The role offers Hybrid or Remote options with 8 days in-person per month for Cleveland-area team members. Strong communication, strategic thinking, and a track record of delivering client value are essential.

Qualifications

• 12+ years of experience solving finance, accounting, operations, technology, or transformation challenges in consulting, professional services, or industry environments.
• 4+ years of experience leading and developing people, including Managers or multidisciplinary project teams.
• Demonstrated experience leading multiple phases of complex client engagements, including scope, workplans, staffing, milestones, budgets, project economics, risks, governance, and change enablement.
• Functional or technical depth in one or more digital finance areas, such as financial close and reporting, accounting operations, source-to-pay and procurement, treasury, digital reporting and compliance, risk and controls, or finance transformation.
• Experience advising senior or executive stakeholders, translating business priorities into practical recommendations, and communicating complex ideas through executive-ready presentations and deliverables.
• Experience driving business development and account growth through opportunity identification and qualification, scoping and pricing, proposals, and negotiations.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex finance transformation engagements from strategy through execution, defining the delivery vision and ensuring measurable client outcomes.
• Provide senior oversight across engagements, including scope, staffing, milestones, budgets, risks, and governance; mobilize teams around practical solutions.
• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, translate priorities into programs, and facilitate executive discussions.
• Drive revenue and account growth by shaping opportunities, pricing, proposals, and expanding relationships with accounts.
• Develop reusable methods and thought leadership to differentiate firm capabilities and translate trends into client solutions.
• Mentor and develop Managers and project teams, set expectations, and provide actionable feedback.
• Contribute to practice priorities by collaborating across offerings and supporting recruiting and onboarding.
