Job summary

Connecticut Lottery Corporation is seeking a Director of Finance to lead the Finance Department, drive financial strategy, and optimize reporting, controls, and systems. The role reports to the CFO and requires building a high-performing team ready to advance modernization across the organization.

Ideal candidates will bring extensive experience in financial management, governance, and process improvement in a complex, public-facing environment.

Qualifications

• Eight (8) years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance.
• At least three (3) years leading finance staff and developing managers.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or advanced degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership for the Finance Department and Managers.
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to findings or recommendations.
• Manage ERP and financial system implementation, optimization, and training.
• Translate financial strategy into execution and drive continuous improvement.
• Support cross-functional projects and ensure timely, accurate reporting.
