Job summary

The Connecticut Lottery Corporation (CLC) is seeking a Director of Finance to guide the Finance Department through modernization and growth. Reporting to the CFO, you will translate financial strategy into execution, oversee reporting, budgeting, forecasting, controls, and audits, and drive process improvements across the organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
• 8+ years of progressively responsible experience in accounting or finance, including financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, internal controls, and financial systems.
• At least 3 years leading or supervising professional-level finance staff; CPA or advanced degree preferred.
• Experience with ERP implementation, optimization, or financial system transformation.

Responsibilities

• Provide day-to-day leadership and direction for the Finance Department.
• Oversee accounting operations, financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls.
• Coordinate external audits and respond to findings; support CFO and executive leadership with insights.
• Lead development and continuous improvement of financial policies, controls, and processes.
• Own Finance ERP and financial systems; manage future implementation phases and staff training.
• Partner with IT and vendors to ensure systems meet business and reporting needs.
