Job summary
The National Basketball Association (NBA) is seeking a Team Finance support role for a 10‑month assignment. The position will assist with ticket and financial reporting procedures, requiring 32-40 hours per week and a candidate who is an accounting/finance or sports management graduate student or recent graduate.
Responsibilities include gate and season ticket reporting for NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League; verify data accuracy; coordinate with IT and Data Strategy & Analytics; support
Qualifications
- 1-2 years of corporate experience, inclusive of internship experience.
- Degree in Accounting, Finance, Statistics, Economics or related business field.
- Experience in an accounting, finance or related business role.
- Experience in the professional sports, entertainment, media or service industry preferred.
- Graduate education or professional certification in a related field is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Assist with gate and season ticket reporting processes for the NBA, WNBA, and NBA G League.
- Review ticket reports and team data for accuracy and adherence to standards.
- Assess team templates for completeness to aid SBR calculations.
- Coordinate with IT and Data Strategy & Analytics to review reports.
- Collaborate on cross-departmental projects using League data.
- Manage communications with teams regarding financial matters and access.
- Create presentations and assist with planning as needed.
- Perform ad-hoc analysis as required.
