Job summary

Central Minnesota Jobs and Training Services, Inc. in Zimmerman seeks a full-time Finance Technician specialized in utility billing to support customers and city services.

You will assist customers in person, by phone and email, process payments, coordinate service requests and meter readings, and help with water shut-offs and delinquent utility certifications while assisting the Clerk/Treasurer and office operations.

Qualifications

• Must have high school diploma or equivalent.
• Two-year degree in accounting, bookkeeping, data entry, or related field desired.
• Minimum three years’ experience performing similar duties with regular public contact.
• Proficiency in Word and Excel is required.
• Experience with Banyon Utility Billing and Fund Accounting programs is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist customers in person, by phone and email.
• Process manual and electronic payments.
• Coordinate service requests and meter readings.
• Handle water shut-offs and certify delinquent utilities.
• Support main office operations and other clerical duties as needed.
