Job summary

VCU Finance is seeking a Finance Technician to support daily accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and GL reconciliation, ensuring financial precision and compliance with university policies.

This hybrid, full-time position offers a 40-hour work week in the Treasury Services unit with robust university benefits and opportunities for professional growth within the finance team.

Qualifications

• Knowledge of automated accounting systems.
• Knowledge of general office machines, including laptops and PC’s.
• Public contact and excellent communication, data entry, computer and word processing skills.
• Ability to plan and schedule work to meet priorities and multiple deadlines daily.
• Ability to work effectively with individuals from a wide range of backgrounds and experiences.
• Demonstrated ability to work in and foster an environment of respect, professionalism and civility with a population of faculty, staff, and students from all backgrounds and experiences, or a commitment to do so as a staff member at VCU.
