The Finance Technical Analyst is part of the Business Services team and provides functional and technical support for the College’s enterprise system. This position is responsible for reporting and analytics, system configuration, enhancements, testing, and ongoing functional support, ensuring that financial and student system processes are efficient, compliant, and aligned with institutional priorities. The Finance Technical Analyst exercises independent judgment in analyzing system issues, recommending improvements, and implementing solutions. This position contributes to continuous improvement efforts by supporting end-to end business processes, system integrations, and data integrity across finance and student systems.
Analytics & Reporting
- Collaborate with end users, business sponsors, and functionalteams to gather and document requirements, identify solutions thatsupport end-to-end processes, and enhance businesscapabilities.
- Develop and maintain knowledge across Finance businessprocesses and applications that support those processes.
- Develop, maintain and deliver reports, dashboards, andanalytics for Workday Financial Management, Payroll and HR relatedfinancial impacts and Student Accounting. Supports self-servicereporting capabilities and ensures stakeholders have access tomeaningful, accurate and actionable data.
System Enhancements, Configuration & Testing
- Support continuous improvement of Workday Financials andStudent Systems by participating in requirements analysis, solutiondesign, business process configuration, system testing andvalidation, implementation of enhancements and updates.
- Participate in biannual Workday releases, including testplanning, script development, execution, and impact analysis acrossFinance, Payroll, HR, and Student systems.
- Evaluate system changes and identifies impacts acrossintegrated systems to ensure alignment and minimizedisruption.
System Support
- Provide ongoing functional support for Workday Financials,Payroll integrations, and Student Systems, serving as a point ofcontact for system-related inquiries and issues.
- Investigate and resolve system errors, data inconsistencies,and workflow issues through root-cause analysis and collaborationwith IT and functional teams.
- Monitor Workday Community and other resources to proactivelyidentify known issues, updates, and best practices impactingFinance and Student systems.
- Support system security, data integrity, and proper systemusage through coordination with IT and ERP support teams.
Cross-Functional Support & Partnerships
- Identifie opportunities to improve system efficiency, reportingcapabilities, and user experience across Workday Financials andStudent Systems. Participates in governance discussions related tosystem enhancements, prioritization, and standards.
- Maintain awareness of higher-education trends, regulatoryrequirements, and Workday functionality enhancements.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
- Associate degree in Finance, Accounting, Business, or anotherquantitative related field.
- Two (2) years of progressively responsible financial reportingand/or accounting experience. Experience working with enterpriseERP systems supporting finance, payroll or student systems.
