Job summary

Morningstar, Inc. in Chicago seeks a Finance Technology Product Owner to drive the roadmap for Oracle EBS, Coupa, and Concur within the Central Technology team.

You will align finance operations with technology delivery, prioritizing initiatives that improve control, accuracy, and automation across procurement, expense management, and general ledger. You will partner with Finance, Procurement, IT, and vendors, lead Agile ceremonies, maintain regulatory compliance (SOX), and communicate progress

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and 4-5 years of product management or business systems analyst experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise finance platforms-Oracle EBS, Coupa, or Concur.
• Working knowledge of procure-to-pay, accounts payable, expense management, and the general ledger.
• Strong problem solving, analytical and planning skills.
• Ability to excel in a fast-paced global environment while delivering high-quality work.
• Able to translate complex technical decisions into simple business outcomes.
• High-quality documentation standards, especially for problem statements and product specs.
• Go-getter attitude with attention to detail and strong interpersonal skills.
• Experience with Agile: Scrum, JIRA, story writing, backlogs, and acceptance criteria.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with development team and business stakeholders to set priorities for Finance Technology platforms.
• Write requirements and user stories for new product features and enhancements.
• Own and execute the product roadmap for Oracle EBS, Coupa, and Concur.
• Support quote-to-cash, procure-to-pay, and record-to-report processes.
• Lead scrum ceremonies and ensure clear communication across teams.
• Define product vision and identify opportunities to streamline financial systems.
• Coordinate platform upgrades, patches, and data flows between systems.
• Support SOX compliance with documentation and approvals.
• Manage program documentation and present updates.
