Job summary

The University of Florida, Department of Emergency Medicine, seeks a Finance Team Lead to oversee budgeting, financial reporting, and account reconciliation within UF's academic medical environment.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will guide staff on fiscal processes, supervise daily finance operations, and ensure compliance with university and department policies while coordinating with UF Health affiliates.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with related experience in accounting.
• Experience in budgeting, financial reporting, and account reconciliation.
• Ability to lead a team and ensure compliance with policies.

Responsibilities

• Generate and review monthly expense reports and budgets.
• Oversee daily processing of requisitions, travel, and payables.
• Guide staff on fiscal procedures and ensure regulatory compliance.
• Review vouchers/POs and reconcile accounts across chartfields.
• Coordinate with faculty and UF offices for reconciliation data.
• Oversee journal entries and fund allocations.
