Job summary

University of Florida, College of Medicine, Department of Emergency Medicine seeks a Finance Team Lead to manage budgeting, reporting, and transaction processing. You will provide guidance on fiscal processes and ensure compliance with policies, while overseeing daily financial activities and safeguarding accurate fund allocations.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, you will coordinate with staff and faculty, prepare monthly variance analyses, and support the annual department budget.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with five years' accounts transaction experience.
• Experience with travel processing and salary distribution management.
• Experience with enterprise financial systems (PeopleSoft, myUFL, UF GO, MyUFMarket).
• Strong Microsoft Office skills; ability to analyze financial information and resolve issues.

Responsibilities

• Generate and review monthly expense reports and identify variances to budget.
• Assist with annual department budget and oversee ADU personnel and payables.
• Oversee daily processing of requisitions, travel, PCard, and payables; ensure compliance.
• Guide staff on department finance procedures and ensure proper documentation.
• Oversee journal entries and reconcile departmental accounts; monitor encumbrances.
