Job summary

NHS Lanarkshire is recruiting a Principal Finance Manager to lead the development of financial services and systems across divisions, Scottish Government, and partner boards. The post focuses on best practice, governance, and ERP implementation to meet regulatory standards.

The role requires CCAB/CIMA or equivalent, extensive NHS financial experience, and the ability to drive efficiency through technology and robust financial controls.

Qualifications

• Degree level or equivalent with significant senior financial experience in a large organisation.
• CCAB, CIMA or overseas equivalent Qualified Accountant.
• Well-developed knowledge of NHS financial issues and their impact on strategy and management.
• Knowledge of resource allocation and costing models within the NHS.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of financial services and financial systems across divisions and boards.
• Develop competency frameworks, SOPs, control checks and training for financial services and new ERP system design.
• Line manage and support accounts payable/receivable, treasury, ledgers and fixed assets teams.
