Job summary

Whop Inc. in Palo Alto, CA is seeking a Finance Systems Engineer to build and automate the core finance tech stack, integrate ERP, and strengthen financial controls as the company scales.

You will own data flows, automation, and reporting while partnering with Accounting to ensure accurate, auditable processes. You will design end-to-end solutions from discovery through deployment, testing, and production support, collaborating with Engineering and Data teams to deliver reliable financial

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience across finance systems, business applications, ERP implementations, data engineering, or financial-process automation.
• Strong understanding of core accounting processes: GL, entries, reconciliations, procure-to-pay, and month-end close.
• Proficient in SQL and at least one scripting language (Python/JavaScript/TypeScript).

Responsibilities

• Map the close process and build an automation roadmap to accelerate period-end close.
• Automate reconciliations, journal entries, accruals, cash activity, and intercompany processes.
• Design and maintain data integrations via APIs, webhooks, and data pipelines.
• Build auditable controls and dashboards to provide real-time close visibility.
