Job summary

Civica is seeking a proactive Finance Systems Analyst to help shape and enhance our finance technology landscape. You’ll work across ERP and FPA platforms to deliver reliable, insightful information for decision makers.

This role focuses on advanced Excel, large datasets, and data integrity, with opportunities to drive automation and process improvement that reduce manual effort and improve reporting. Collaborating with Finance, Technology, and business teams, you’ll implement scalable solutions

Qualifications

• Experience driving process improvements and implementing system enhancements that deliver measurable business value.
• Genuine interest in data, systems, and continuous process optimisation.
• Solid understanding of management accounting principles, practices, and reporting requirements.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills with stakeholders across the organisation.
• Proactive problem-solver with structured, logical thinking.
• Advanced Excel skills and experience with large datasets.

Responsibilities

• Partner with finance and business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver enhancements across finance systems and reporting platforms.
• Support the full lifecycle of system improvements, including requirements gathering, data analysis, testing, reporting development, and release activities.
• Act as a Finance Systems Super User, helping maintain system integrity, governance standards, and data consistency across platforms.
• Analyse, validate, reconcile, and consolidate large volumes of financial and operational data from multiple sources.
• Utilise advanced Excel capabilities to investigate issues, support month-end activities, develop reports, and provide meaningful business insights.
• Identify and deliver opportunities for automation, process improvement, and enhanced reporting capability.
• Support data integrations and ensure the accuracy, quality, and reliability of information flowing across finance systems.
• Collaborate with Finance, Technology, and wider business teams to implement scalable and sustainable solutions that improve user experience and business performance.
